Overview
A professional kiteboarder from the United States. Often referred to as the “landlord of the wakestyle movement”, he is a pioneer of both Wakestyle and Park style kiteboarding.
Career
He boasts an overwhelming track record in the Park scene, having won the Triple S Invitational—the pinnacle event for Park riders—five times, and being crowned the KPL (Kite Park League) Champion in 2018. He remains at the forefront not only in kiteboarding but also in wing foiling and hydrofoiling.
A major turning point in his career came at the end of 2023 when he suffered a horrific paragliding crash. In addition to a fractured pelvis and spine, he sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that left him hovering between life and death. Following grueling rehabilitation, he made a miraculous recovery, and his astonishing resilience continues to inspire many.
Sponsors & Brands
He served as the face of Liquid Force for many years and was deeply involved in developing signature boards alongside Jimmy Redmon and others. Following the brand’s exit from the kiteboarding market, he was brought on as a team rider and product tester for Slingshot Kiteboarding and Ride Engine, where his exceptional knowledge and theory-based feedback heavily contributed to gear development.
In recent years, having successfully returned from his accident, he has taken on a core role in product development as a foil designer and rider for Naish, continuing to lead the industry’s front lines.
Personality & Friendships
He shares a deep bond with his long-time partner, professional kiteboarder Sensi Graves, having overcome the grueling and desperate days following his accident together. In interviews, Brandon has expressed deep gratitude and respect for her dedicated support and strength in navigating those difficulties.
As a highly theoretical thinker with profound knowledge of gear design and fluid dynamics, he is highly regarded in the industry not only as a top rider but also as an exceptional test rider and designer.
