Mikaili Sol is a professional kiteboarder of Brazilian and American descent, born in 2004 and raised in Preá, Ceará, Brazil. She began kiteboarding at age eight. Prior to entering the senior professional circuit, she dominated the youth divisions, winning four consecutive Junior World Championship titles. Today, she reigns as the undisputed queen of the sport, leading the world primarily in the Freestyle and Big Air disciplines.
Freestyle Dominance and Chasing Gisela’s Legacy
In 2018, at just 13 to 14 years old, she entered the elite tour of the WKC (World Kiteboarding Championships, the pinnacle of Freestyle at the time, which later merged into the GKA under the authorization of World Sailing). She won every stop in Akyaka, Turkey, Dakhla, Morocco, and Cumbuco, Brazil, to claim her first world title.
With this victory at age 14, she became the youngest World Champion in GKA/WKC Freestyle history.
