Nathalie Lambrecht is a professional kiteboarder born in Costa Rica, with roots in Sweden and Belgium (Flanders). Growing up oscillating between Egypt and Sweden, she now calls Makani Beach Club in El Gouna, Egypt, her home spot. Specializing in Big Air and Freestyle, she is highly aggressive and fiercely competitive on the water, pushing herself to the absolute limit. However, on land, she describes herself as a “grandma who enjoys tea and card games,” preferring quiet moments with animals and loved ones. This exquisite balance of intensity and calmness defines her identity.
“I don’t have it all figured out, but I like it that way. Growth to me means staying curious and open while fiercely protecting what matters most.”
— Nathalie Lambrecht
Furthermore, her journey to the world-class level has been supported by an unbreakable bond with her sister, Nicole Lambrecht, who accompanies her as a caddie and provides unwavering mental support.
Style and Sponsors
She truly shines in the most demanding, high-wind conditions, utilizing extremely difficult maneuvers like extreme kite loops and board-offs as her weapons. Pushing the boundaries for female riders, she rules the skies with a constant Send it! spirit.
In Freestyle competition, her riding style is characterized by overwhelming power and height, often opting for kites 1-2 sizes larger (like 11m or 13m) than her competitors. She also possesses the rare technical ability among female riders to execute toe-side tricks like the “Crowmobe” under intense competition pressure. Rather than relying solely on natural talent, she is widely recognized as a relentless hard worker whose fearless approach—never shying away from heavy crashes—has propelled her to the top tier.
From the 2024 season, she made a major move by joining the North Kiteboarding international team. Piloting gear like the “Orbit” and the newly developed “Orbit Ultra,” she continues to excel as a marquee rider in both the Big Air and Freestyle scenes.
Fearless in high winds and always aiming higher, she has achieved stellar results in numerous major contests.
