Airton Cozzolino is a professional kiteboarder born in 1994 in Sal, Cape Verde, holding dual Cape Verdean and Italian citizenship. He is widely recognized as a founding pioneer of the strapless freestyle kiteboarding discipline and one of the most successful riders in the sport’s history.

Cozzolino was one of the first to introduce highly technical maneuvers into competition using a standard surfboard without foot straps, including strapless handle passes, flat 360s, and massive aerial rotations.
